Singapore Airlines Reports First Quarterly Net Loss Since 2022
Singapore Airlines reported a net loss of US $58.8 million for the three-month period ended June 30, marking its first quarterly loss since 2022.
During the period, the airline achieved record revenues of US $4.42 billion, supported by strong passenger demand and high passenger yields. However, a 78.5% surge in fuel costs driven by US military interventions against Iran, along with a US $32.5 million share of losses from the Air India partnership/deal, overshadowed the record top-line performance and negatively impacted net profitability.
