Pakistan’s national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has appointed Adrian Hamilton-Manns as its new Chief Executive Officer. With approximately 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, Hamilton-Manns succeeds Muhammad Amir Hayat.
Hamilton-Manns previously served as CEO of Oman-based SalamAir, Kazakhstan-based FlyArystan and Africa-focused http://flyafrica.com. Throughout his career, he has also held senior management positions at IndiGo, South African Airways and Virgin Australia. He began his aviation career at Air New Zealand in 1997.
The appointment marks one of the significant management changes following PIA’s privatisation process. The airline’s management was transferred to an investor consortium led by Arif Habib in June 2026.
Under its new leadership, PIA aims to improve operational efficiency, strengthen its financial performance and enhance passenger services.
