German Airlines Launch Four New Routes to Syria

German airlines LEAV Aviation and Sundair are preparing to launch four new direct routes between Germany and Syria.

According to the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, LEAV Aviation will begin flights between Düsseldorf and Damascus on July 29, 2026. The airline will also launch direct services between Cologne/Bonn and Aleppo starting August 1. The Düsseldorf–Damascus route is expected to be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.

Sundair, meanwhile, will start flights between Berlin Brandenburg and Damascus on August 1, 2026. The route will operate twice weekly, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline will also launch direct flights between Berlin and Aleppo on October 1, 2026.

With these additions, passengers will have direct access to Damascus and Aleppo from the German cities of Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Cologne/Bonn, marking a further expansion of air connectivity between Germany and Syria.
