Emirates Skywards has expanded its loyalty programme beyond air travel with the launch of its new Skywards Rail platform. Members can now use Skywards Miles to travel to more than 12,000 rail destinations served by over 40 railway operators across 12 European countries.
Through the platform, users can compare different train services and select their preferred travel class and ticket options. Payments can be made entirely with Skywards Miles or through a Cash+Miles combination, while electronic tickets are delivered by email.
Commenting on the new service, Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, said: “Our members are looking for more flexible ways to use their Skywards Miles. Skywards Rail is an important step in extending our loyalty programme beyond air travel.
“By providing access to more than 12,000 rail destinations across Europe, we are giving members greater freedom to use their Miles, whether travelling between major cities, continuing their journey after an Emirates or flydubai flight, or discovering new destinations. This allows us to offer more choice, greater value and a more rewarding travel experience at every stage of the journey.”
