Cellphone Fire Reported on British Airways Flight to Las Vegas

A cellphone caught fire aboard British Airways Flight BA271 operating from London to Las Vegas, prompting the crew to implement emergency procedures during the flight.

The aircraft landed safely at Harry Reid International Airport without further incident.

According to air traffic control communications, the flight crew reported that the burning cellphone caused damage inside the cabin, but the sparks and fire were successfully contained by cabin crew members.

In a statement, British Airways confirmed that the aircraft landed normally and that passengers disembarked using standard procedures.
