Airbus has announced its financial results for the first six months of 2026, reporting higher revenue and profitability on the back of increased commercial aircraft deliveries and a strong performance from its Defence and Space division. The company left its full-year guidance unchanged.
Airbus delivered 351 commercial aircraft in the first half of 2026, up from 306 in the same period last year. Consolidated revenue increased by 12% to €33.2 billion, while adjusted operating profit reached €2.7 billion. Net profit stood at €2.24 billion, with earnings per share of €2.84.
The company received 886 gross orders during the period, resulting in 821 net orders after cancellations. By the end of June, Airbus’s commercial aircraft backlog had risen to 9,222 aircraft.
Airbus maintained its target of producing 13 A220 aircraft per month by 2028. For the A320 Family, the company plans to reach a monthly production rate of between 70 and 75 aircraft by the end of 2027. Its targets of five A330s per month by 2029 and 12 A350s per month by 2028 also remain unchanged.
Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury said the increase in commercial aircraft deliveries and the strong performance of the Defence and Space division supported the first-half results. He added that production ramp-ups were continuing across all business lines to meet growing demand for both civil and military products.
