Turkish Airlines and Air China Expand Codeshare Agreement

Turkish Airlines and Air China have expanded the scope of their existing codeshare agreement. The new agreement was signed during the 4th China Air Transport Association Aviation Conference and Exhibition held in Beijing.

The cooperation, which began in June 2024 covering the Istanbul-Beijing route, has now been expanded to include all direct trunk routes between Türkiye and China. The agreement also covers selected domestic connections in China via Beijing and selected international connections via Istanbul.

Under the expanded agreement, Turkish Airlines passengers will be able to travel via Beijing to additional destinations across mainland China, including Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Qingdao. Air China passengers will be able to connect via Istanbul to Ankara, as well as Turkish Airlines destinations including Accra, Lagos, Marrakech, Dar es Salaam, Algiers and Tunis in Africa, and Cancun and Mexico City in Latin America.

The expanded cooperation allows flights operated by both airlines to be offered under a single ticket, providing passengers with more travel options and smoother connections. Turkish Airlines and Air China also plan to include any new direct routes launched between Türkiye and China in their codeshare cooperation in the future.
