The deal, previously delayed due to negotiations with engine manufacturer CFM International over engine pricing and maintenance terms, could be signed as early as next week.

The 150-aircraft commitment forms a significant portion of a broader 225-aircraft Boeing acquisition package initially outlined following talks between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and U.S. President Donald Trump. With both leaders scheduled to meet in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly next week, sources suggest the commercial agreement could be finalized during this diplomatic engagement.

Beyond aircraft deliveries, Turkish Airlines is also seeking to establish its own maintenance and overhaul capabilities for the 737 MAX engines, aiming to secure premier-tier maintenance partnership status within CFM International’s global network.
