Qatar Airways to Run Limited Schedule Over Airspace Curbs

Qatar Airways to Operate Limited Flight Schedule Due to Airspace Restrictions
Qatar Airways has announced that its planned flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatar airspace. The airline stated that normal operations will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority confirms the full and safe reopening of the airspace.
Under a temporary authorization issued by the authority, limited flight corridors have been approved for use. Within this framework, Qatar Airways will operate a restricted flight schedule to support passengers affected by the disruption, with selected departures and arrivals via Hamad International Airport.
According to the airline, a limited number of flights will operate on March 9–10 to destinations including Seoul, Moscow, London, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth, and Nairobi. Additional services are also planned to cities such as Istanbul, Frankfurt, Milan, Cairo, Jeddah, Manila, Mumbai, and Colombo on specific dates.
Qatar Airways emphasized that these flights do not indicate a full resumption of scheduled commercial operations. Passengers are advised to travel to the airport only if they hold confirmed and valid tickets for the announced flights.
The airline also asked for passengers’ understanding regarding the ongoing disruptions, stressing that the safety of travelers and flight crews remains its highest priority. A new operational update is expected to be released on March 9, 2026.
