Air Cairo Orders 15 Airbus A320neo Aircraft

Air Cairo has placed a firm order for 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026. The agreement marks the airline’s first direct aircraft purchase from Airbus, as it moves to introduce owned aircraft alongside its leased Airbus fleet.

Air Cairo has expanded rapidly from a fleet of just seven aircraft five years ago to more than 45 today, and plans to grow its fleet to over 130 aircraft by 2034. The new A320neos will support the airline’s expansion across its domestic, regional and international networks. According to Airbus, the A320neo Family delivers at least 20% lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared with previous-generation single-aisle aircraft.
