Ryanair Issues Fee Warning to Spain – Flights to Smaller Airports May Be Reduced
Ryanair has announced that it may reduce operations to small and medium-sized airports in Spain during the 2025-2026 winter season. The airline stated that this decision will be implemented if airport operator Aena does not lower its fees.
In a statement made in January, Ryanair had already announced plans to reduce flights at seven regional airports in Spain for the upcoming summer season, canceling around 800,000 passenger seats compared to the previous year. On the other hand, it was noted that 1.5 million additional seats would be added to larger and busier airports such as Madrid, Malaga, and Alicante.
