Turkish Airlines Changes Rules for Switching to an Earlier Flight

Turkish Airlines (THY) changed its rules for passengers wishing to switch to an earlier domestic or Ercan flight at the airport, effective June 16, 2026.

Previously, passengers could switch to an earlier flight free of charge under eligible conditions. Under the updated policy, EcoFly and ExtraFly passengers who wish to move to a flight departing within four hours before their originally scheduled flight are required to pay a TRY 210 change penalty plus a ticketing fee. The total cost of the change is typically around TRY 400–500.

PrimeFly passengers, however, can switch to an earlier flight on the same route and in the same cabin class without paying a fare difference or change penalty, subject to seat availability.

The change can be processed at the airport when the applicable conditions are met.
