Bahrain International Airshow Postponed to 2028

The eighth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow, originally scheduled to take place at Sakhir Air Base from November 18–20, 2026, has been postponed to November 15–17, 2028.

The organising committee said the new dates were selected to allow broader international participation from visitors, exhibiting companies, delegations and industry partners. Preparations are continuing in coordination with stakeholders across the aviation and aerospace sectors.

The official announcement did not directly link the postponement to geopolitical developments in the region. However, aviation media have suggested that ongoing tensions involving Iran and potential risks to Gulf airspace could affect the participation of international companies, military delegations and display teams, and that the decision may have been taken against this backdrop.

First held in 2010, the Bahrain International Airshow is normally organised every two years. With the next edition now moved to 2028 following the 2024 event, there will be a four-year gap between editions.
