KLM to Lay Off 5,000 Employees

Dutch airline KLM plans to cut approximately 5,000 jobs as part of its restructuring efforts. The planned reductions represent around 15% of the company’s total workforce.
KLM Group reported an operating profit of €526 million for the first nine months of 2026, marking an increase of approximately 60% compared to €328 million during the same period last year.
The company’s revenue also rose by more than 9% to €10.9 billion during the same period. Despite the improvement in its financial performance, KLM is reportedly planning workforce reductions to lower costs and improve operational efficiency.
