Boeing 737 MAX 7 Nears Certification

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it expects the Boeing 737 MAX 7 to receive certification this summer.

Speaking at an aviation forum in Washington, FAA Administrator Brian Bedford stated that Boeing is expected to increase its 737 MAX production rate again within the next 90 days. Bedford said the agency supports the company’s decision to raise monthly production from 42 to 47 aircraft.

“It is important for the country that Boeing succeeds,” Bedford said, adding that further production increases could be seen within the next 30 to 90 days.

The FAA had lifted the monthly production cap of 38 aircraft in October 2025, allowing Boeing to produce up to 42 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft per month.

Boeing had faced delays in the certification process of the MAX 7 and MAX 10 models due to technical issues related to the engine anti-ice system.
