Malaysia Airlines has reached an important milestone by taking delivery of its 200th Boeing aircraft. With the addition of a new Boeing 737-8 to its fleet, the airline has entered a new chapter in its long-standing partnership with Boeing.

The Boeing 737-8 aircraft, registered as 9M-MVR, arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on May 24, 2026. With this delivery, Malaysia Airlines has now received its fourth Boeing 737-8 aircraft of 2026.

According to a statement released by Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the aircraft departed from Boeing’s Seattle Delivery Centre on May 21 and arrived in Malaysia after stopovers in Honolulu and Guam, completing a journey of nearly 20 hours.

MAG Group CEO Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar described the delivery as “a proud moment” for the airline, while noting that the partnership between Malaysia Airlines and Boeing dates back to 1972.
