United Airlines Unveils Special Livery for America’s 250th Anniversary

As part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, United Airlines has unveiled a special “Stars and Stripes” livery that will be featured on two of its aircraft.
The commemorative design features 50 stars set against a deep blue background alongside seven red and white stripes. The special livery will be applied to one Boeing 787-10 and one Boeing 737-800, both of which are expected to enter service during the summer season.
The unveiling ceremony took place at United Airlines’ hangar at Washington Dulles International Airport. Speaking at the event, United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said the airline plays an important role in representing American culture and traditions around the world, adding that the special design pays tribute to the nation’s 250-year history.
United Airlines has become the third airline to introduce a commemorative livery for the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations. American Airlines and Southwest Airlines had previously revealed their own special anniversary-themed liveries.
