Small Plane Crashes in the U.S., Two Injured

Two people were injured after a small aircraft crashed in western Wisconsin on Sunday.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred near Boundary Road in Hay River Township at around 12:10 p.m. local time.

The aircraft was carrying a 36-year-old female pilot and a 51-year-old male passenger. Both were injured, although the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Preliminary information indicates the aircraft had departed from Boyceville Municipal Airport shortly before the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
