Yemenia May Run Out of Jet Fuel Within 72 Hours

Yemenia Airways has been warned that its Jet A-1 fuel stocks could be depleted within 72 hours, according to an official letter sent by the Yemen Petroleum Company.

The letter stated that fuel supply has reached critical levels after shipments failed to arrive due to the impact of the conflict in Iran. Authorities advised the airline to plan for sourcing fuel from airports in neighboring countries in order to maintain operations.

Yemenia management confirmed receipt of the notification, adding that efforts are underway to secure alternative supply sources to avoid disruptions to flight operations.

Meanwhile, following meetings in Aden involving the Ministry of Transport, civil aviation authorities, Yemenia, and fuel suppliers, an agreement was reportedly reached to procure jet fuel under a new pricing structure to ensure continuity of operations.
