Air Astana and Kazakh Tourism Partner to Boost Tourism
Air Astana, Kazakh Tourism and five regional administrations in Kazakhstan have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 2027 aimed at strengthening the country’s promotion in international tourism markets. Signed in Almaty on September 21, the agreement aims to increase the number of international visitors and passenger traffic to Kazakhstan.
In addition to Air Astana and Kazakh Tourism, the agreement includes the city administrations of Astana and Almaty, as well as the Almaty, Akmola and Mangystau regions. The parties will jointly use their marketing, communications and organisational resources to promote Kazakhstan as a tourism destination.
The cooperation will include digital campaigns, participation in international tourism fairs and roadshows, familiarisation trips for international partners and media representatives, and B2B events. Air Astana CEO Ibrahim Canliel said the partnership aims to improve Kazakhstan’s accessibility for international visitors and support the development of international air traffic.
