AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap”) has signed a firm order with Airbus for 23 A320neo and 77 A321neo aircraft, reinforcing its strategy of investing in fuel-efficient, high-demand technology to meet long-term airline needs.
“This order for 100 A320neo Family aircraft reflects our strong belief in the long-term demand for these highly efficient aircraft and will support both growth and replacement needs,” said Aengus Kelly, CEO of AerCap. “As the world’s largest owner of commercial aircraft, we focus on assets that deliver the best economics and lowest emissions, ensuring our leadership in fleet modernization into the next decade.”
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of Commercial Aircraft, stated: “This is AerCap’s largest direct order for the A320neo Family and a strong endorsement of its market-leading performance. We are proud to support AerCap’s vision for more modern and efficient operations.”
The A320 Family is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft with over 19,000 orders. The A321neo offers extended range and performance, while the family delivers at least 20% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction compared to previous-generation aircraft, alongside a wider cabin for enhanced passenger comfort.
All A320 Family aircraft can operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus targeting 100% SAF capability by 2030.
