Israel is alleged to have struck an Airbus A340 (registration EP-IGA) belonging to the Iranian government at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
According to Reuters, Israel claimed the aircraft was used by Iran’s senior leadership and therefore targeted it in the attack.
However, there has been no independent confirmation regarding whether the aircraft was completely destroyed, and Iranian authorities have not yet issued an official statement detailing the incident.
