A United Airlines Airbus A321neo lost one of its nose landing gear wheels following a hard landing in Orlando. The incident reportedly occurred under windy conditions at Orlando International Airport.
Videos shared on social media show that after touchdown, one of the nose wheels detached and rolled toward the edge of the runway. The aircraft remained under control and was brought to a safe stop on the runway. Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries.
The aircraft had been operating a flight from Chicago, and standard safety procedures were carried out after landing. Following the incident, the aircraft was removed from service and sent for technical inspection.
Aviation experts note that hard landings combined with adverse weather can place significant stress on landing gear systems. The exact cause will be determined after detailed maintenance checks and technical analysis. United Airlines and relevant authorities are continuing their investigation into the event.
