IATA and OneVasco Partner to Simplify Visa Applications
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced a partnership with OneVasco to simplify visa procedures for international travelers. Under the agreement, OneVasco’s visa application services will be integrated into IATA’s Timatic Solutions, which provides information on travel documentation and entry requirements. This will allow passengers to check entry requirements and proceed directly to visa applications through a seamless digital process.
According to IATA’s 2025 Global Passenger Survey, 33% of passengers were discouraged from traveling due to complex visa and immigration requirements, an increase of 3 percentage points compared to 2024. Travelers from Africa and the Middle East were particularly affected, while 53% of those discouraged from traveling cited procedural complexity as the main reason.
The new service will offer eligibility checks, document verification, application assistance, secure payments, and application status tracking for both electronic visas and traditional sticker visas. It will be available to airlines as an additional option through Timatic Web and Timatic Widget.
