Emirates Reports $1 Billion Profit in First Half of Financial Year

Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced its financial and operational results for the first six months of the 2026–2027 financial year. Despite the impact of regional conflicts and high fuel costs, the airline recorded a pre-tax profit of $1 billion.

Emirates generated revenue of $15.5 billion during the period, while its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) reached $3.1 billion.

The airline carried 21.8 million passengers and transported 1.24 million tonnes of air cargo during the six-month period. As of September 2026, Emirates operated a fleet of 289 wide-body aircraft and employed a total of 73,953 people.

Emirates also stated that it continues to invest in enhancing the passenger experience, modernising its fleet, and developing infrastructure to support its future operations.
