NetJets Private Jet Makes Belly Landing After Nose Landing Gear Fails To Deploy

A NetJets-operated Cessna Citation private jet made an emergency landing at Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio after its nose landing gear failed to deploy during its approach. The aircraft had departed from Washington Dulles International Airport.
According to reports, the nose landing gear of the aircraft, registered as N803QS and operating as flight #EJA803, failed to extend as the crew prepared for landing. The flight crew circled the airport while carrying out emergency checklists and attempted to manually extend the landing gear, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
After ARFF and emergency response teams were positioned around the runway, the pilots planned a controlled landing. After touching down on the main landing gear, the crew kept the aircraft’s nose off the ground for as long as possible before allowing the nose and underside of the fuselage to contact the runway as the aircraft slowed down.
The aircraft sustained minor damage as it slid along the runway before coming to a stop. The two pilots in the cockpit escaped the incident without injuries.
