
A Cathay Pacific flight operating from Brisbane to Hong Kong under flight number CX156 encountered severe turbulence during the journey.
The incident involved an Airbus A350-900 registered B-LRV. A total of 10 people, including 6 cabin crew members and 4 passengers, sustained minor injuries. Eight of the injured individuals were taken to hospital for precautionary checks after the aircraft landed in Hong Kong.
According to local media reports, the turbulence occurred around two hours before landing while the cabin crew was preparing for meal service. Passengers reported experiencing a sudden altitude drop, while service carts and various items inside the cabin were thrown around.
The aircraft later landed safely at Hong Kong International Airport. Medical teams boarded the aircraft after landing to assess the condition of passengers and crew members. Cathay Pacific announced that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
