Avolon has placed a firm order for a total of 110 Airbus aircraft, comprising 35 A330-900s and 75 aircraft from the A320neo family. With this new order, Avolon’s total orders for the A330-900 have reached 114, while its orders for the A320 family have risen to approximately 650.

Avolon CEO Andy Cronin said the following regarding the order:

“We continue to see strong demand for new aircraft. This order further strengthens our long-term aircraft delivery pipeline, positioning us to meet our airline customers’ fleet growth and replacement needs over the next decade and beyond. We expect demand for both the A330neo and A320neo to remain strong, in line with the aviation industry’s long-term growth trajectory. We are pleased to further expand our longstanding partnership with Airbus through this agreement.”

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President of Sales for Commercial Aircraft, commented:

“This is a significant order for both the A330neo and A320neo families. We thank Avolon for its continued confidence in our products. With this purchase, Avolon reinforces its position as the leasing company with the largest order book for the A330-900, with a total of 114 aircraft ordered from Airbus. This order is also another indication of the strong demand for the A330neo and A320neo families in the aircraft leasing sector. Lessors place great value on the broad market potential and operational flexibility these two product families offer, from domestic and regional services to long-haul operations.”
