ANAC Publishes Proposed Noise Certification Criteria for Eve 100 eVTOL
Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has opened a public consultation on the proposed noise certification criteria for Eve 100, the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developed by Eve Air Mobility. The consultation, which runs until August 8, marks a significant milestone in the aircraft’s type certification process.
Eve Air Mobility CEO Johann Bordais said the proposed criteria represent an important step in the development and certification of Eve 100, adding that a dedicated regulatory framework for next-generation aircraft will support the safe introduction of urban air mobility operations.
The proposed criteria are designed to assess the aircraft’s acoustic performance throughout different phases of flight. Eve said noise reduction has been a key priority during the development of the lift-plus-cruise aircraft, which is expected to operate more quietly than conventional helicopters.
Following the consultation period, ANAC will review stakeholder feedback before finalizing the certification requirements. Eve will continue working with ANAC as its primary certification authority while advancing international validation efforts to support the future global deployment of Eve 100.
