Amerijet Boeing 767 Damaged in Hard Landing
An Amerijet International Boeing 767-300F freighter, registered N373CM, sustained fuselage damage during a hard landing in Guatemala City.
The aircraft was operating flight M68743 from Miami to San Juan on 6 September when it was diverted to Guatemala City. During the landing on Runway 02, the aircraft is reported to have touched down on its nose landing gear first, resulting in deformation of the upper forward section of the fuselage.
Images taken after the incident show clear wrinkling and structural deformation on the upper part of the Boeing 767’s forward fuselage. N373CM remains grounded in Guatemala City, and the extent of the damage and the aircraft’s return-to-service timeline have not yet been clarified.
One thing worth checking before publishing: a Miami–San Juan flight diverting to Guatemala City is geographically unusual, so the routing detail in the original may be worth verifying.
