Turkish Airlines Operates Longest Nonstop Flight in Its History | 16 Hours 27 Minutes

A special charter operation conducted by Turkish Airlines for the Juventus squad became the longest nonstop flight in the airline’s history.

The Boeing 777-300ER, registered TC-LJE, was dispatched to Perth for Juventus’ Australian tour. After picking up the team, the aircraft flew nonstop from Perth to Turin, Italy. According to flight tracking data, the Boeing 777-300ER remained airborne for approximately 16 hours and 27 minutes.

Covering approximately 13,800 kilometers between Perth and Turin without a stop, the flight set a new record for Turkish Airlines in terms of both distance and flight duration.

Juventus continued its Australian programme following the Derby d’Italia match against Inter in Perth and used a special charter service operated by Turkish Airlines for its return journey.

TC-LJE, the aircraft used for the operation, had previously completed an approximately 14-hour and 30-minute positioning flight from Istanbul to Perth under flight number TK3700.
