An emergency evacuation was carried out at Chandigarh Airport following a power bank fire onboard an IndiGo Airbus A321neo (registration VT-ICD) operating flight #6E108 from Hyderabad to Chandigarh.
According to officials, the incident occurred on 5 May 2026 while the aircraft was stationary after landing, when a passenger’s personal power bank caught fire.
Following the incident, passengers were evacuated as part of safety procedures. Initial reports indicate that approximately five passengers were taken to the hospital.
