British Airways Bans Unauthorized Recording of Cabin Crew

British Airways has introduced a major update to its passenger conduct policy, officially prohibiting passengers from photographing, filming, or livestreaming cabin crew without consent.
According to the updated Conditions of Carriage, any recording made without the explicit and written approval of crew members will be considered “unacceptable behavior.” The move aims to protect staff privacy and ensure their safety amid a rise in passenger-related harassment, as well as verbal and physical incidents.
The new rule covers not only photography but also video recording and social media livestreaming.
British Airways stated that violations could lead to onboard intervention, blacklisting, or legal action. However, recording may still be permitted in cases where crew members provide consent.
