Airbus Announces 2026 AGM Results

Airbus Announces 2026 Annual General Meeting Results

Airbus announced that all resolutions presented to shareholders were approved at its 2026 Annual General Meeting held on April 14 in Amsterdam.

The company stated that it remains in a strong position across all business segments following key milestones achieved in 2025. It was also announced that Chairman René Obermann will not seek re-election at the 2027 AGM and will step down as Chairman on October 1, 2026. Lead Independent Director Amparo Moraleda will assume the role of Chair from that date.

Among the decisions taken, the terms of non-executive board members Mark Dunkerley, Stephan Gemkow, and Antony Wood were extended by three years. Henriette Hallberg Thygesen, CEO of Terma A/S, was appointed as a non-executive board member for a three-year term, replacing Prof. Dr. Feiyu Xu. The board highlighted Xu’s contributions in areas such as digitalization and artificial intelligence.

Oliver Zipse, Chairman of BMW AG, was also appointed as a non-executive board member for an initial one-year term, completing the remaining mandate of Victor Chu.

Airbus noted that board members are reappointed in staggered blocks each year to ensure continuity and avoid large-scale simultaneous departures, thereby reducing potential loss of experience and easing integration of new members.

Shareholders also approved a dividend of €3.20 per share for the 2025 financial year.

In his statement, Obermann described his tenure as a great honor, highlighting Airbus’ strengthened position in civil aviation, including helicopters, and the successful reshaping of its Defence and Space division. Moraleda expressed her commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and emphasized close cooperation with the board and management to prepare Airbus for future challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving global environment.
