CP-3243 Aircraft Loses Contact After Takeoff in Bolivia

In Bolivia, a CP-3243 registered aircraft reportedly lost contact with air traffic control shortly after takeoff, raising concerns of a possible crash. The aircraft, which departed from La Paz, is said to have followed an unusual circular flight pattern approximately 20–25 minutes after departure before gradually losing altitude and possibly going down after remaining airborne for nearly two hours. According to Flightradar24 data, the last signal was recorded at 14:57:57 (UTC).

Authorities confirmed that the crew declared an emergency during the flight, while early assessments suggest a possible cabin pressurization failure or an oxygen system malfunction. Following the incident, a K-8 training aircraft belonging to the Bolivian Air Force was deployed to assist search operations over Cochabamba after the aircraft began exhibiting abnormal routing behavior.

Search and recovery efforts continue as investigators work to determine the aircraft’s final trajectory and the possible crash site. The findings are expected to be clarified through technical analysis and black box data.
