Pegasus Signs Agreement to Acquire Czech Airlines and Smartwings

Pegasus Airlines has signed an agreement to acquire Czech Airlines, based in the Czech Republic, along with its subsidiary Smartwings.

➡️ The total value of the transaction has been set at 154 million euros, covering the outstanding debts of both companies. Completion of the deal will depend on receiving the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.

➡️ The Smartwings group, which is planned to be acquired, is the largest airline in the Czech Republic, operating a network of 80 destinations across 20 countries under two brands.

Pegasus CEO Güliz Öztürk stated, “On our journey to make air travel accessible to everyone, we have grown our fleet from 14 aircraft to 127. Now, by joining forces with Czech Airlines and Smartwings and their fleet of 47 aircraft, we are opening a new chapter in our growth story.”
