Miles GSE Delivers 20 Catering Trucks to DO & CO at Heathrow

Miles GSE has successfully delivered 20 advanced catering trucks to DO & CO UK, with the full fleet now operational at London Heathrow Airport. The project further highlights the company’s ability to develop specialised ground support equipment tailored to the operational and regulatory requirements of the UK market.

The delivery marks another important step in Miles GSE’s continued expansion in the UK aviation sector, where the company has significantly strengthened its market presence in recent years.

Operating at one of the world’s leading international aviation hubs, ground support equipment at London Heathrow must meet demanding operational requirements. For catering and cabin cleaning vehicles in particular, these requirements extend beyond the airport environment, as the vehicles are designed to operate both airside and on public roads.

Meeting these dual operating requirements calls for a specialised engineering approach, combining airport-specific operational needs with applicable UK road regulations and vehicle specifications.

Miles GSE has developed the manufacturing and engineering capabilities to address these requirements, producing catering and cabin cleaning trucks specifically configured for the UK market and the operational conditions of airports such as Heathrow.

The latest 20-unit delivery to DO & CO UK reflects this capability, bringing together purpose-built vehicle design, regulatory considerations and the operational reliability required in a demanding airport environment.

Beyond this project, Miles GSE has established a diversified presence at Heathrow, with equipment from all six of its core product categories currently in operation at the airport: potable water trucks, lavatory service trucks, cabin cleaning trucks, catering trucks, passenger stairs and aircraft maintenance platforms.

Headquartered in Germany, with four production facilities across Germany and Türkiye, Miles GSE manufactures a comprehensive range of ground support equipment for international aviation markets. Its engineering and production capabilities enable the company to adapt its equipment to different market requirements while maintaining a consistent focus on quality, functionality and long-term operational performance.

The successful delivery to DO & CO UK further strengthens Miles GSE’s position at Heathrow and reflects its continued commitment to supporting customers with equipment engineered for their specific operating environments.

As the company continues to expand its international footprint, the UK remains a strategically important market, supported by an established product portfolio, specialised engineering expertise and a growing operational presence at London Heathrow.
