The United States is moving forward with plans for a new 10-year agreement aimed at securing long-term production of F-35 fighter jets. Under the proposed arrangement, approximately 850 F-35 aircraft would be manufactured to meet the requirements of the U.S. military and allied nations.
The agreement, involving the fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets manufactured by Lockheed Martin, is intended to maintain production capacity, strengthen the supply chain and improve the predictability of aircraft deliveries.
The proposed 10-year production programme is expected to support the long-term sustainability of the F-35 programme while contributing to the modernisation of the air forces of participating nations.
