Emirates has announced its flight plans and fleet investments for the upcoming winter season following a summer in which the airline carried more than 8.6 million passengers during July and August. The carrier will introduce new services and destinations to meet increased demand during the winter period.
During the summer, Emirates recorded load factors above 75% across its West Asia, Europe, Middle East, Americas and Africa networks. South Africa, Brazil, India, Portugal, Egypt, Ghana, Colombia, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were among the markets where booking demand increased compared with the same period last year.
The airline is also continuing to invest in its fleet. Since the beginning of 2026, Emirates has added 18 aircraft, comprising 11 Airbus A350s and seven Boeing 777 freighters. A further six A350s are scheduled for delivery by the end of December. Under its cabin retrofit programme, upgrades have been completed on 104 aircraft, including 53 Boeing 777s and 51 Airbus A380s.
Emirates will add new destinations and frequencies to its network during the winter season. Helsinki will join the network from October 1 with A350 service, while second daily flights are planned to Accra, Tokyo Narita, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. One of the airline’s daily services to Delhi will also be operated by the Airbus A380.
From late October, A350s are scheduled to operate services to Larnaca, Malta, Nairobi and Hamburg, followed by Mauritius from November. Refurbished Boeing 777s will be deployed to Stockholm in October and Frankfurt in November.
Meanwhile, the partnership between Emirates and flydubai has carried more than 28 million passengers since 2017. Through their combined network, the two airlines provide connections to more than 214 destinations across over 100 countries.
