Pilot Writes “I’m Bored” in the Sky During Test Flight

A pilot flying a Piper PA-38 Tomahawk operated by UK-based flight training organisation Ravenair drew attention after tracing the words “I’m Bored” on Flightradar24 during a post-maintenance test flight.

Ravenair said the flight was carried out by a flight instructor to verify that the aircraft’s systems were functioning correctly after a component had been replaced.

Wayne Barrett, the company’s operations manager, said the pilot may have wanted to have some fun during the routine test flight.

“I think the pilot really was a little bored because it was only a test flight. But it was also quite a skilful piece of flying,” Barrett said.
