Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Smoke

Lufthansa flight LH1753 returned to Athens Airport after smoke was reported in the rear section of the cabin and the crew received an APU fire warning. The aircraft was evacuated after landing.

Lufthansa said three passengers sustained minor injuries during the evacuation and were taken to a hospital in Athens for first aid treatment.

The airline added that the crew of the Airbus A321 declared an emergency in accordance with standard procedures in order to obtain landing priority.
