Landing Gear Wheel Detached During Landing in Nepal

A Sita Air Dornier 228 passenger aircraft, registered as 9N-AJH, operating a flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal, lost a wheel while landing at Juphal Airport in Nepal’s Dolpa district. The aircraft’s rear right wheel reportedly detached upon touchdown at around 08:25 local time.

There were 16 people on board, including 3 crew members and 13 passengers. Seven of the passengers were foreign nationals. A technical team was dispatched to the area to inspect and repair the aircraft.
