Iran Warns Neighboring Countries Restricting Flights

Following new US sanctions targeting the Iranian aviation sector, operations of Iranian airlines across the region have begun facing restrictions. The United Arab Emirates decided not to accept flights operated by Iranian carriers, leading to the cancellation of approximately four flights today. Flight restrictions against Iranian airlines have also come into effect in Georgia and Azerbaijan. While services to Muscat and Baghdad have been suspended, flights to select other airports in Iraq continue.

↪️Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that retaliatory action would be taken against neighboring countries that cooperate with the US to block Iranian flights. Rezaee remarked, “If you block our aircraft, your airports will not operate either.”
