€65 Surprise for Passengers Boarding with a Neck Pillow

A neck pillow used for extra comfort during a flight could result in an unexpected charge at the boarding gate for Wizz Air passengers. Under the airline’s baggage rules, a neck pillow is not considered a separate item that can be carried free of charge and must fit inside the passenger’s cabin baggage.

Under the basic fare, passengers are allowed one cabin bag measuring up to 40 × 30 × 20 centimetres and weighing up to 10 kilograms. According to Avianews, if the pillow does not fit inside the permitted bag, it may be treated as an additional item and result in a charge of between €55 and €65.

The amount is not a specific fine for carrying a neck pillow, but a fee applied when the passenger exceeds the permitted cabin baggage allowance.
