Colombia Earthquake Shuts Six Airports

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia’s Chocó region has disrupted air travel across the country. The terminal at Matecaña Airport in Pereira sustained significant damage, while flights were temporarily suspended at airports in Pereira, Manizales, Quibdó, Armenia, Cartago and Buenaventura.

Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport remains operational, while flight restrictions are in place at Popayán Airport due to volcanic ash from the Puracé volcano.
