ANA to Introduce Three New Pokémon-Themed Aircraft for 30th Anniversary
Japan’s flag carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced plans to introduce three new special Pokémon-themed aircraft in 2026 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon brand.
The aircraft will enter service gradually throughout the year. The “Pokémon Jet Red,” a Boeing 787-8, will operate on domestic routes. The “Pokémon Jet Green,” a Boeing 787-9, will be deployed on international services. Meanwhile, the “Pokémon Jet Blue,” a Boeing 737-800, will also serve domestic routes.
The project continues a collaboration between ANA and The Pokémon Company that began in 1998. ANA already operates the Pikachu Jet NH and Eevee Jet NH as part of its themed fleet. Detailed design unveilings are scheduled for May, with all three aircraft expected to enter service during 2026.
The year 2026 will mark both Pokémon’s 30th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of ANA’s first international flight. Through this special series, ANA aims to offer passengers a themed travel experience that brings the Pokémon universe into the skies.
