Airbus A350F Completes Its Maiden Flight

Airbus’ new-generation freighter, the A350F, completed its maiden flight from Toulouse on September 29. The first test aircraft, MSN 700, flew for 4 hours and 10 minutes and reached an altitude of 25,000 feet. The flight marked the beginning of a flight test campaign expected to last more than nine months.

Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the A350F offers a range of up to 8,700 kilometers and a payload capacity of up to 111 tonnes. Airbus said that, as of the end of August 2026, the A350F had received 115 orders from 14 customers. The second test aircraft, MSN 701, is currently in the final stages of assembly.
