Air China and its subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines have signed a new agreement with Airbus covering the purchase of 55 aircraft. The order, valued at approximately $12.4 billion at list prices, will be delivered between 2029 and 2032.
Under the agreement, Air China will acquire 15 Airbus A350-900 aircraft to strengthen its long-haul fleet, while Shenzhen Airlines will purchase 40 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft as part of its fleet renewal programme.
The airlines said the acquisition will be financed through a combination of internal funds, bank loans, and other financing arrangements, with payments to be made progressively in line with the aircraft delivery schedule.
