Turkish Airlines to Resume Caracas Flights

Turkish Airlines will resume flights between Istanbul and Caracas on Tuesday, August 25, following a temporary suspension after two earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela on June 24.

The earthquakes caused damage to the terminal at Simón Bolívar International Airport in La Guaira state, prompting the airline to suspend services for technical and operational reasons.

Turkish Airlines will operate four weekly round-trip flights on the Istanbul–Caracas route.

Following the earthquakes, Türkiye deployed 75 search and rescue specialists to Venezuela. Aid delivered to the country included 275 large tents, seven tonnes of medical supplies and around 1,000 boxes of food and hygiene products.
