European Airlines Cancel Flights to Israel

Some European airlines, notably Austrian Airlines and ITA Airways, have cancelled their flights to Israel scheduled for Saturday morning and the weekend amid concerns that tensions with Iran could escalate again.

The move comes amid growing concerns over the security situation in the region, with airlines reportedly reassessing their operations to Israel. Lufthansa Group carriers Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings had previously imposed various restrictions on flights to Israel and the Middle East due to security concerns in the region.

As the possibility of renewed tensions between Israel and Iran increases, European airlines are expected to make further decisions regarding their operations in the region.
